Da Vinci® Prostectomy Pre-Operative Instructions

• No Aspirin 1 week prior to surgery
• Nothing to eat or drink on Tuesday night after midnight.
• Clear liquid diet all Tuesday. Clear liquids are those liquids you can see through, e.g. broth, clear juice, etc.
• You may take all of your normal pills (except blood thinners) at their normal times, except for diabetes medications. You should ask the anesthesiologists about blood pressure and diabetes medications when he/she calls you the evening before surgery.
  You should have your prescription filled prior to the surgery. Do not take until after the operation.
